This is going to be an exciting couple of months for the Adam Meckler Quintet. After some wonderful reviews of our record (http://www.jazzpolice.com/content/view/8593/115/, http://twincitiesjazzscene.com/AdamMeckler.htm), and an extensive interview with Jazz88fm (http://tinyurl.com/yast2cg), the AMQ is becoming known as a band to watch in the Twin Cities. We have a couple of great gigs coming up that you won’t want to miss.

Honey was once one half of a two part jazz club, The Times and Jitters. The Times and Jitters had to close and have now reopened under new ownership. Luckily for us, Honey as decided to continue having music! It is very important that we get as many people we can to this event to show the people at Honey that they aren’t making a mistake! This is a great place with a wonderful atmosphere and great food/drink, so check it out! There is no cover.

This also a huge show for us because it is the first time we will be playing an evening spot, with an early 7p start time (for all you early-to-bed folk). It is a bigger time slot, and we are the main event that night. It will be great to play again at the always kickin’ Dakota Jazz Club.

Thanks so much for your continued support of my musical endeavors. I have many more musical projects waiting in the wings. In addition to recently joining a polka band (The Brass Barn Polka Band. yeah, I know…) I am also starting a band along with some friends from undergraduate school including Evan Montgomery, Greg Woodsbie, and Cory Grossman. I have also been composing more now than ever. I have plans to put together a concert of music for large ensemble (big band) that will feature my own arrangements and original compositions.
