Starting to feel better after a week and a half long fight with Swine Flu. I’ve been making fun of it since they started advertising its potency months ago. Never thought I’d get it myself. Wasn’t fun. Needless to say, I am looking forward to getting the horn back on my face and getting back to the Twin Cities for some new rehearsals and gigs. I am playing this weekend with the Jana Nyberg Group at Fyr Bal festival in Ephraim, WI from 1-4p on Father’s Day. If you’re in the area, please stop out to hear us play.

On another note, I am starting a new project called Conservatory Jazz. I know the name sounds lame, but the idea is to appeal to a clientel that has some money, so that my bands can start making a little more money playing gigs. At conservatoryjazz.com I will be representing the bands that I play in as well as a few others. With a little advertising I think I can get some traffic to my new site and in turn get some gigs. The client will have the chance to check out the 4 or 5 bands on conservatoryjazz.com and choose from some diverse styles.
